Executive Director: Jared Andrew Brown

Director of Education & Technical Director: Patrick Laffin

Director of Operations: Steven Rignoli

Resident Choreographer: Jennifer Kaye

Resident Music Director: Alan Dougherty

As a theatre educator for more than 15 years, Jared focuses on creativity with a cause. In

order to do this one must conceive a life, a character, or a reality with the simple task of

asking "What if?". This allows actors to see in one's own mind reactions to the outside world,

and in turn embodying that reaction to a character's truth. In an actor's ongoing endeavor to

find "truth", Jared places emphasis on techniques, and mastering control of their physical

body and voice.

In his teaching, Jared inspires students through a combination of different techniques, including methods of acting that inspired him like Stanislavski or Meisner. Within these methods, he attempts to have each actor find their own approach and devices.

Jared received his BFA in Music Theatre from The Hartt School, where he has also choreographed. Favorite roles include: Younger Brother, Ragtime, Billy Flynn, Chicago, Billy Lawlor, 42nd Street, Billy Crocker, Anything Goes. Jared’s choreography has graced the stages of The Seven Angels Theatre and The Little Theatre of Manchester, not to mention various high schools and community stages across the East Coast. Jared is in his 6th year as Resident Choreographer of North Haven High School and is the Director of the Theatre Program at Bear Path Elementary in Hamden. Jared’s students have gone on to join the casts of MARY POPPINS on Broadway, the national tour of ANNIE, as well as appear in nationally broadcast commercials.
