CHICAGO TEEN

In “Roaring Twenties” Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap... until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another "Merry Murderess," Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the "American Dream": fame, fortune, and acquittal.

REHEARSALS

Rehearsals will be held primarily on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, beginning April 7.

Directed by Jared Andrew Brown with Choreography by Emma Kelly and Musical Direction by Alan Dougherty


What you need to know

2) Prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music as our pianist will be on hand to accompany. If sheet music isn’t available, please bring a track.

3) Please click here to fill out the electronic audition form prior to your audition. Please bring a copy of your headshot and resume or a listing of your experience to your audition appointment.

4) If you are unable to attend auditions, please send a video to squarefoottheatre@gmail.com and complete the online audition form by March 1.

All roles are available. Auditioning does not guarantee a role in the production.

At no point should any actor or potential actor bully, intimidate, or bulldoze the casting process. Actors understand that casting will reflect the Director and the theatre’s vision for the production.
